Financing Activities

Financing activities include obtaining resources from owners by issuing stock; providing owners with a return on their investment by paying dividends or repurchasing stock; obtaining resources from creditors by issuing bonds, notes, and other borrowings; and paying principal (not interest, which is part of the operating activities section) on amounts borrowed.
