Expendable Trust Fund

Expendable trust funds (scholarship and endowment funds) are those for which principal and income may be expended in the course of their designated operations so that they are depleted by the end of their designated lives. Expendable trust funds are accounted for in special revenue funds. See also special revenue fund.
