Becker at ALPFA Convention 2024
From August 4th through 8th, 2024, over 6,000 professionals gathered at the 2024 ALPFA National Convention to learn, network, and grow their careers. Becker was excited to take part in this hugely successful event—proudly supporting ALPFA and its work throughout the professional community.
What is ALPFA?
The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) is the largest minority-based professional organization, aiming to open access into leadership positions and growth opportunities. ALPFA provides its members (60-65% of whom are accountants1) with the chance to build professional relationships and learn new skillsets that help them drive their careers to new heights.2
2024 ALPFA Convention
The 2024 ALPFA National Convention packed all this purpose into four full-throttle days of inspirational speakers and motivational sessions, networking events, breakout workshops, and more.
Saturday Night Live’s Marcello Hernandez was one featured speaker, emphasizing the importance of remembering Latino roots, struggles, and tenacity, as well as celebrating Latino achievements.
Becker at ALPFA
Becker was present at the ALPFA convention as a proud sponsor of the event. Our involvement included:
- Hosting an informational and networking booth
- Hosting the White Party selfie kiosk
- Sponsoring the well-attended workshop, “Be Your Own Boss: The Risks and Rewards of Going into Business for Yourself”
- Recruiting efforts and DEI programming providing an educational forum for our brand in the accounting field

A group of Becker team members went to the ALPFA convention to represent Becker and participate in the programming.
One attending Becker team member, Henry Quinones, said this of the event:
“Unlike other events I have attended as a corporate employee, this was the first occasion where my leadership team actively encouraged participation in both breakout sessions and speaker events. As a Hispanic professional with over 20 years of experience working in New York’s diverse community, it was both inspiring and refreshing to witness an event dedicated to the Latin professional community.”

Another Becker team member, Moyrali Roig, shared her experience:
“I came back refreshed, empowered to continue representing Becker as well as my community and heritage in my role. After this event, I volunteered to be the new VP & Director of Student Affairs of the Miami Professional Chapter, which allows me to keep supporting students and meet new professionals within my South Florida community.”

Just as Becker supports ALPFA initiatives, the convention also encouraged our team members with key reminders for their personal and professional growth.
Becker is proud to have been part of the palpable inspiration and teamwork shared at the 2024 convention.
