Karen Slater
Karen Slater, CPA graduated from Arizona State University in 1990 and has been working in the accounting field ever since. She began her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young as an auditor. After three years, she transitioned to the private sector and has worked in corporate accounting as a controller for the past 30 years, with an expertise in healthcare. Karen has been a Becker instructor since 1996 and is passionate about helping students pass the CPA Exam.
Karen’s personal hobbies include running and other athletic activities, and over the past 20 years she has run 15 half marathons. She currently lives in her home state of Arizona with her husband and two children.
